Confirmation

Confirmation is a celebratory service, ‘confirming’ a decision to follow Jesus, taken at an age when the the individual can make a choice for themselves. It ‘confirms’ baptismal vows, often made on behalf of a baby, by it’s godparents.

If those wishing to be confirmed have not been baptised or ‘christened’, then that will usually take place within the confirmation service too. We have regular confirmation services at All Saints’ and the Bishop will come to preside over the service.

Although we do have an ‘open table’ at All Saints’ Laleham, where all those in their own church tradition who normally take communion are welcome at the Lords Supper, confirmation is the usual doorway to regularly receiving bread and wine with the rest of the Christian community.

To be confirmed we encourage you to join with others on a short course which we hope will inform, inspire and lead you on in your faith in Jesus Christ.
