Small Saints during Covid - here’s a little of what we got up to:

Easter Zoom Craft Small Saints 2021 (2).jpg

Easter Zoom!

We missed seeing the children at Small Saints on a Sunday morning and wondered how much they had grown in the last year.

We loved to catch up with the children, so we are arranged a Small Saints Easter zoom, including time to chat, songs, a video and an Easter garden craft to make with Lorna.

Materials for the craft
Tray – can use paper plate, cut down cardboard box or metal tray lined with paper
Rice
tea bag or brown felt tip for soil
Newspaper
Green tissue paper or similar green paper
Grey or dark tissue/paper
Cup from egg box / small yoghurt pot
3 Crosses (about 10cms tall) – can use pipe cleaners, lolly sticks, sticks from the garden or strips of card
flowers – stickers, from magazines, coloured tissue or drawn and colour your own
Glue stick, scissors, masking tape / sellotape (may also need thread to make crosses / cocktail sticks to attach to lolly stick crosses to fix them into the ‘ground’)

Small Saints Christmas Storytime

Is this your new favourite song?

It’s very catchy!

why not sing along at home?

Small Saints Storytime

The Small Saints team have really missed reading some amazing true Bible stories to our Small Saints, so Lorna has recorded some to watch and listen to at home.

Please let us know if you like it or if there is a favourite Bible story that you'd like to hear!

Remind us what you look like! Paint, draw or collage your self-portrait

As it’s so long since we’ve met together, we are asking the children to do a Self Portrait, to remind us what they look like!

It can be any size but should include their first name & age.

Please email them in to the church office and we hope to be able to feature them in a Sunday service. (Email office@allsaintslaleham.org.uk )

There have been some super smiling faces already - thank you!

A message for our Small Saints

It is many weeks since we last met in the school hall for church and Small Saints. I hope you have been watching the fantastic services that Andy & the team have been doing on YouTube every Sunday morning.

Since there is no sign of us being able to meet together in the usual way any time soon, we would like to maintain contact with the children in a different way. Initially we are going to use craft activities and feedback, as well as items posted here on the website.

If you would like us to include your child in this initiative, please contact us to let us know, giving your child’s name and age.

We are aware that you will have many demands on your time at the moment but please help us to support our Small Saints in their bible learning while we can’t be together in one room.
