BaptismWe are thrilled that you are seeking for your child to be baptised. We join with you in wanting this life event to be marked well, both in celebration and in sincerity.
‘In baptism, you as parents are: thanking God for his gift of life, deciding to begin your child on the journey of faith and asking for the Church’s support.
For your child, baptism: marks the start of a journey of faith, which involves turning away from the darkness of self-centredness, turning towards Christ and becoming a member of the local and worldwide Christian family.’
We would ask that all parents bringing their Children to baptism would attend our church on at least 3 occassions, so that you are comfortable with our particular style of community and can feel a part of its life. Then, after speaking to our minister we invite you to attend a friendly and informal 3 session course which is designed to help you to get to grips with the service and what each element means. This will enable you to enjoy and fully take part in this important life event of baptism.
Adult baptism is also available for those who have not yet been baptised.
